In our shoelast.framas departments, we create lasts that combine functionality and design. We join craftsmanship with the latest 3D technologies to produce the perfect last, – the basic structure for every shoe. Our product portfolio includes lasts specifically developed for sports, fashion, health and safety sectors. We not only produce lasts for the more common shoe models, but also small series, custom, and innovative products.
We know that a perfect shoe can only be created on the perfect last.
SERVICES
In our shoelast development centers, our experienced modelers form lasts by hand. Our CAD teams digitally prepare the physical last models for mass production and are responsible for our digital library.
With two locations, one at our headquarters in Pirmasens and another one in Portland, we are close to our customers and can therefore guarantee short communication channels. The development center in Portland was founded in cooperation with our partner Yin Hwa, who also takes over the production of our lasts in Asia.

shoelast.framas produces lasts, which are used worldwide for the production of well-known shoe models. Our product range includes, not only HDPE lasts (High Density Polyethylene), but also heat resistant lasts and lasts specifically designed for automation. Additionally, you can order custom-made lasts or small series.

At framas, lasts are produced precisely from HDPE. Thereby exact results are achieved, which are decisive for the later fit of the shoe. Our experienced modelers know the high demands of the industry and can provide comprehensive advice. With several locations, we guarantee short delivery routes to the shoe factories and fast reaction times in communication.
HISTORY
For over 70 years, framas has been manufacturing wooden lasts. The last is the first product that our company founder Franz Martz manufactured. World-leading shoe companies have been producing their shoes on framas lasts ever since. Even adidas founder Adi Dassler came to Pirmasens to learn from Franz Martz’ skills in last making and to perfect his own craft.
Sustainability
shoelast.framas attaches great importance to recycling and reusing the plastic lasts internally. Each last prototype contains more than 50% recycled material. We continuously and actively work to increase this percentage.
